After spotting Altoona an early lead, State College rallied for a 6-3 victory Saturday afternoon in another preview game of the coming District 6 baseball tournament.

The Little Lions (14-5) won their fifth straight and 10th in the last 12 games.

Brandon Raquet was 2 for 3 with a double and two stolen bases, Caleb Walls also had two hits and two steals, Harrison Walls was 2 for 2 and Chris Adams had three steals. Tucker Triebold earned the win in relief of starter Bailey Ishler.

State College was down 3-2 heading into the fourth inning before a Caleb Walls RBI single tied it, Dalton Barger scored the go-ahead run in the fifth and two more crossed in the fifth when Raquet stole home and Harrison Walls singled home Caleb Walls.

Josh McGinley tripled and Trenton Martin was 2 for 3 with a pair of RBIs for the Mountain Lions.

The game marked the second in a five-day span against teams the Little Lions could face in the district’s Class AAAA playoffs. State College beat Mifflin County 1-0 on Thursday and hosts Central Mountain on Monday. The Class AAAA tournament begins May 18.
