High school girls’ track & field: State College lands two silvers at Mid Penn meet

Natasha Fedkina and Megan Fry each had runner-up results at the Mid Penn Conference Championship Meet at Chambersburg High School on Saturday.

Fedkina took second in the 1,600-meter run with a time of 5 minutes, 8.24 seconds. Fry cleared 11 feet, 6 inches in the pole vault for her second-place result.

The Lady Little Lions also earned a pair of third-place finishes, with Rachel Wylie third in the 100-meter hurdles in 15.24 seconds and the 400-meter relay team of Jordi Rohrbach, Taylor Givens, Wylie and Zoe Wicks clocking in at 49.85 seconds.

Wylie also was fourth in the 300 hurdles, Jordan Bair was third in the shot put, Rohrbach was fifth in the 100 and 300 hurdles, Givens was sixth in the long jump and seventh in the 100-meter dash, Sarah Almarzooqi took fifth in the 3,200 and Kinsey Thompson grabbed sixth in the pole vault.

As a team the Lady Little Lions, who took first a year ago, were fourth with 59 points. Harrisburg won with 90 among the 27 scoring teams.
