High school girls’ volleyball: Cumberland Valley sweeps State College

Cumberland Valley spoiled State College’s Dig Pink night, sweeping the Lady Little Lions 25-13, 25-21, 25-20 Thursday.

Kyla Irwin’s nine kills, Jess Irwin’s five kills and Kasie Peterson’s three aces paced the offense, while Taylor Kuruzovich and Leah Henderson gave out 10 assists each and Katie Finlan led the defense with 17 digs.

The annual Dig Pink fund-raiser picked up $2,032 for the Centre County Breast Cancer Coalition.
