Historic home runs lead St. Joseph’s Catholic Academy to win

Spurred by a big day at the plate by Bryce Herman, and the first two home runs ever for St. Joseph’s Catholic Academy, the Wolves rallied to beat Northern Cambria 11-10 in eight innings Monday.

Herman was 3 for 5 with a double and seven RBIs, and also belted the first home run in program history. Nick Shearer followed seconds later with the second homer for the program, tying the game in the seventh inning.

Jack Mangene and Mikey Kresovich also had three hits each, with Kresovich ripping three doubles.

Dylan Broderick gave up two runs in 4 1/3 innings of relief for the win.
