St. Joseph’s Mazza races to first place in girls’ track and field invitational

St. Joseph’s Catholic Academy’s Sera Mazza raced to a first-place finish in the 3,200 meters with a time of 11:33 at the Bellwood-Antis Invitational on Monday.

Mazza combined with Lucia Person, Lindsey Carmack, and Lea Fisher in the 3,200 relay for another first-place finish.

Teammate Mary Elliot broke the school record in the 100 with a time of 13.55 seconds. Elliot also broke the triple jump school record with a leap of 31-4. She added a fifth-place finish in the long jump.

The Lady Wolves’ Asara Clark finished fourth and sixth in the discus and shot put, respectively.
