Penns Valley girls’ track & field wins Bellwood-Antis Invitational

With a score of 85, Penns Valley won Monday’s Bellwood-Antis Invitational, outmatching several Centre County foes.

St. Joseph’s Catholic Academy came in eighth place with 27 points, Bald Eagle Area finished ninth with 20 points, and Philipsburg-Osceola were 14th with 12 points.

Penns Valley triumphed in several events, led by Destiny Andrus’ stellar day individually. Andrus won in the 100 and 200-meter dash.

Penns Valley’s Isabella Culver won in the 400-meter dash, while the Lady Rams’ 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams were also victorious.

Outside of Penns Valley, SJCA had a successful day. Sera Mazza won the 3,200-meter run, while also helping her 4x800 relay team to victory.

BEA had a winner, too. Sarah VanCise’s mark of 31-03.00 earned her a win in the shot put.
