Bald Eagle Area scored on an error in the 13th inning to beat Central 6-5 on Tuesday.
Trey Butterworth led off the inning with a single. Andy Swabick followed with a bunt and reached base on an error, which allowed Butterworth to move to third. After Noah Chambers walked to load the bases, Central committed an error on a ground ball by Caleb Bell to allow the game-winning run to score.
Eagles pitcher Brandon Barnyak allowed three hits in six scoreless innings of relief to earn the win. Starting pitcher A.J. Onder went seven innings.
“Both pitchers really threw well,” BEA coach Jim Gardner said.
