State College’s Grace Dangelo named CDT Athlete of the Week

State College’s Grace Dangelo is the Centre Daily Times’ Female Athlete of the Week.

The Lady Little Lions’ junior swimmer boasted another solid performance — this time at a dual meet Tuesday against Cumberland Valley, in which State College won 101-82.

Dangelo came away with a pair of individual first-place finishes (100 butterfly, 200 IM) while also helping the 200 medley relay team to a win. (Her 400 freestyle relay team placed second by 0.64 seconds.)

In the 100 butterfly, Dangelo had a time of 59.76 seconds, more than a full second faster than the runner-up. She also clocked a time of 2:15.38 in the 200 individual medley, nearly two seconds better than the second-place finisher.
