Bellefonte High School’s Colton Schnars is a Centre Daily Times Athlete of the Week.
Schnars helped the Red Raiders win their fourth consecutive title at the District 6 Class AA Swimming & Diving Championships at McCoy Natatorium.
Schnars won a pair of individual events in record-setting fashion. On Friday, Schnars shattered the meet record in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 51.14 seconds. On Saturday, he broke another meet record with his time of 51.39 in the 100 backstroke.
He capped a big weekend with a thrilling comeback in the anchor leg of the 400 freestyle relay. Schnars, Grey Rockey, Patrick Scordato and Finn Nixdorf topped Huntingdon with a time of 3:20.37.

Bellefonte will compete in the PIAA Championships on March 11-12 at Bucknell University.
