Bellefonte softball player Tara Baney is a Centre Daily Times Athlete of the Week.

Baney pitched a one-hitter to lead Bellefonte to a 10-0 win over Penns Valley in the team’s season opener Friday.

She struck out six and walked three in six innings to earn the win.
