The native of Coro, Venezuela, had an impressive debut on Saturday night to land the first Spike of the Week honor.
Garcia was 4 for 4 with two doubles and a home run in a 7-6 loss to the Williamsport Crosscutters on Saturday night. Garcia needed only a triple to complete a cycle, but could only manage a double in his final at-bat in the ninth inning.
Garcia has been a part of the St. Louis Cardinals organization since the fall of 2009, when he signed as an international free agent, and the 22-year-old played for the Spikes for 27 games before being called up to the Class A Peoria Chiefs last season.
In 2013, he tied for second in the Appalachian League for RBIs while playing for Johnson City.
Garcia could not keep his bat hot on Sunday night, going 0 for 4 with a pair of strikeouts, dropping his batting average to .500.
