State College police officer dies while on duty
State College police are mourning the loss of an officer who died unexpectedly while on duty Monday afternoon.
Officer Bob Bradley, 43, stopped by his home while on patrol and collapsed about 12:30 p.m., State College Police Chief Tom King said. Efforts to revive Bradley on scene by police and emergency medical personnel were unsuccessful, King said. He was taken to Mount Nittany Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead about 1:30 p.m. A cause of death is still being determined, King said.
Bradley joined the force in April 1996, King said. He described Bradley as “a very good officer and a very good person.”
“He was mild-mannered and even-keeled,” he said. “It’s a big loss.”
