Charges filed after Christmas Day fight involving cheesecake

State police at Philipsburg charged a man with harassment after a reported disturbance on Christmas Day.

According to a news release, the accused, 35, became involved in a verbal altercation with a 33-year-old woman at a home on North Ninth Street in Philipsburg.

The victim told police the man struck her in the shoulder with a closed fist and then threw a piece of cheesecake at her.

The man was charged with harassment and is awaiting his preliminary hearing.
