Video shows motorcycle flipping after foam pad falls from boat
It’s a good thing the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet.
A dashcam on a highway in Woodbury, Minnesota caught a motorcycle flipping and dumping the cyclist onto the road after what appeared to be a foam pad fell off the back of a boat being towed by an SUV.
The 20-year-old motorcyclist tries to brake and avoid what appears to be a rolled up foam floating pad, but is going too fast and runs right into it.
“Oh, he got up,” a woman’s voice says at the end of the video.
He was wearing a helmet and was transported to Regions Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to KMSP.
Linda Leverty shared the video to her Facebook, saying it was from the dashcam on her vehicle and she and her son got out to help the motorcyclist. She said in a comment that the SUV towing the boat did not return while she was on scene. The State Patrol confirmed to KMSP that the SUV driver had not been located yet.
A man claiming to be the motorcyclist in the video commented on YouTube that he had suffered road rash and “some bruises,” and that he had only been riding the motorcycle for two weeks, according to KMSP.
