Do you trust the engineers?

In 2004, a million cubic yards of pyrite rock suspended construction of a section of Interstate 99 costing PennDOT more than $50 million in an attempt to prevent pollution of the Spring Creek watershed. According to a PennDOT spokesperson, “It wasn’t that we didn’t know it was there, but the concentration was higher than we anticipated.” Given the geological structure of the proposed site of the Toll Brothers’ luxury student housing and its proximity to our precious clean water, are you willing to trust the engineers this time?
