Nation’s most expensive ticket this Saturday? Penn State-Michigan — by a huge margin
If you don't yet have a ticket to the Penn State-Michigan game, you're either going to have to watch it on TV — or sacrifice a hefty portion of your paycheck.
The cheapest ticket to the White Out game featuring No. 19 Michigan and No. 2 Penn State costs $355 on StubHub, making it the hottest ticket this weekend. The second-most expensive ticket belongs to No. 11 USC-No. 13 Notre Dame and will cost fans $169 a pop.
Notre Dame Stadium has a capacity of 77,622 — or nearly 30,000 fewer seats than the Nittany Lions' Beaver Stadium (106,572).
Unsurprisingly, Penn State costs on the secondary market have risen as the week has progressed. Earlier this week, White Out tickets could be had for about $100 cheaper.
The university even issued an advisory Tuesday, warning fans about a sharp increase in counterfeit tickets.
Traveling fans in the western part of the state should make out a lot better, or at least their checking accounts should. The cheapest ticket this weekend comes in at $3, for the Pitt at Duke game.
You could take 120 fans to that game, or buy a single ticket to Beaver Stadium.
