On Monday, May 25, the AMAs were set to kick off at 8 p.m. ET. Celebrities were dressed to the nines as they started arriving at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nev., well before then. So, was Swift among them?
Is Taylor Swift at the 2026 American Music Awards?
As of writing, Swift has not made an appearance at the 2026 AMAs, on the red carpet, or elsewhere.
Multiple outlets-including E! News and People- reported that the "Shake It Off" singer would skip the star-studded event, hosted by Queen Latifah. But it looks like Swifties will have to wait and see what happens, as Swift has not publicly stated her plans for May 25.
Was Swift Nominated for Any Awards at the 2026 AMAs?
The "Life of a Showgirl" songstress, 36, is nominated for a staggering eight awards at the 2026 AMAs, including Artist of the Year, as well as Album of the Year and Best Pop Album for The Life of a Showgirl. Swift also scored nominations for Song of the Year, Best Pop Song, and Music Video of the Year for "Fate of Ophelia," Song of the Summer for "Elizabeth Taylor," and Best Female Pop Artist.
