Journey to play Penn State on farewell tour, plus 4 more acts coming to State College
Classic rock band Journey is set to perform at Penn State’s Bryce Jordan Center Wednesday, May 27, 2026, as a part of its farewell tour.
The band, which has been a fixture in arenas and on rock radio in the years since its 1973 launch, is kicking off its “Final Frontier Tour” a couple of hours southeast in Hershey Tuesday, Feb. 28. Tickets for the State College show go on sale to the public Friday, Nov. 14.
Until then, here are some of the other big acts coming to State College, plus how much tickets could cost you.
Riley Green, Nov. 13
Country music act Riley Green will headline Bryce Jordan Center Thursday, Nov. 13. The multi-platinum singer, who has been slowly climbing the country music charts in recent years, will appear with fellow Alabamians Jamey Johnson, Drake White and Hannah McFarland. Johnson, an outlaw country singer, and White, a country soul act, are more established in the industry. McFarland is a Zoomer and stunt performer who often shares her songs on Instagram.
Plenty of seats in the nosebleeds are available on Ticketmaster starting at $25 plus fees, while lower-level and floor seats are available for resale anywhere between $75 and $320. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
Jason Aldean, Jan. 29
Country superstar Jason Aldean will take Bryce Jordan Center Thursday, Jan. 29 as the first big act of the new year. Aldean saw a meteoric run in the 2010s and has lately been notable for his political statements, including the controversial 2023 hit “Try That in a Small Town.”
Aldean will be joined by younger country artists Nate Smith, who rose to prominence on TikTok, and Lanie Gardner. Dee Jay Silver, a cross-genre disc jockey, will also take the stage.
Plenty of seats are available starting at $50 plus fees, with those closer to the stage commanding as much as $500.
Big Time Rush, Feb. 3
The 2010s boy band Big Time Rush will take to Penn State in February as part of its “College Dropout Tour.” The band, in the midst of a four-year comeback run, is best known for its eponymous Nickelodeon show, which ran from 2009 to 2013. It promised to play “every song from every episode of the tv show.”
The band will be accompanied by supporting acts Katelyn Tarver, a pop singer, and Stephen Kramer Glickman, a comedian, both alumni of the Nickelodeon series.
Most floor seats, in the $100 to $300 range, are spoken for, but plenty of seats are available in the rafters for $55 to $215.
Brandon Lake, March 20
Grammy-winning Christian worship singer Brandon Lake will headline Bryce Jordan Center in March during the East Coast leg of his tour promoting his latest album, “King of Hearts.” He will be joined by Pat Barrett, a fellow Christian worship singer.
Lake has lately seen some mainstream success, coinciding with a Christian resurgence among young men. He recently performed at the memorial service for slain conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
Most available seats are in the arena’s lower level and are fetching prices between $120 and $200. Some concourse-level seating is available between $55 and $130, and the handful of remaining floor seats are going for $120 to $180, before fees.
