Lock Haven musicians Anthony LaLota and Jared Conti, who make up The Echo & Sway, recently answered five Weekender questions about their band.
Q: How long have you been playing?
JC: Since 2008.
Q: How do you describe your sound?
JC: Folk/punk, beat poetry.
Q: Which musician — alive or dead — do you most wish you could share the stage with?
AL: Tom Waits
JC: I’d love to be playing back in London with Chris Stringer again.
Q: What’s your favorite song to play live?
AL: “It Can Get Better,” the first song we wrote together
JC: “Wishful Thinking,“ a song about depression, suicide and hope
Q: Where can people hear your music?
JC: The Echo & Sway plays Avenue 209 Coffee House in Lock Haven at 7 p.m. Jan. 23. We play again at Broken Axe Brew House in Lock Haven at 8 p.m. Jan. 30. We’re also found on Facebook or YouTube at “The Echo & Sway.”
