5 Weekender questions with Grain
Cory Kodish, guitarist for Grain, answered five Weekender questions about the band that has been playing Appalachian Mountain music together for nearly a decade.
Q: How long have you been playing?
A: Six years as a band, 15 years as friends. Sixty-eight years of musical action, collectively.
Q: How do you describe your sound?
A: Acoustic, traditional, original.
Q: Which musician — alive or dead — do you most wish you could share the stage with?
A: John Hartford.
Q: What’s your favorite song to play live?
A: No specific songs come to mind. We all enjoy the originals we play, and really, every song we play is something that we want to play, so maybe ... all of them?
Q: Where can people hear your music?
A: Well we haven’t recorded anything ever so not on a CD or audio cassette or anything. You’d have to come see us live.
