Bill Strayer, songwriter and guitarist for the local band The Strayers who also performs as a solo artist, recently answered five Weekender questions.

Q: How long have you been playing?

A: Twenty years.

Q: How do you describe your sound?

A: Roots music/americana.

Q: Which musician — alive or dead — do you most wish you could share the stage with?

A: Richard Manuel.

Q: What’s your favorite song to play live?

A: “Victory by Trampled” by Turtles.
