Went to school for over 7 years to now be a SAHM and content creator now instead," she wrote via Instagram in 2025. "Planning your life is the fastest way to miss the one you're meant to live."

In the caption, she continued, "Everyone questioned it. Buying a house 5 months after meeting someone. Getting engaged ‘too young.' Choosing to wait on kids when everyone expected them right away. Then, journeying through infertility. Not having babies until our 30s. Facing a maternity leave crisis - and walking away from the career I thought I'd have forever. I went to school for 7+ years to chase one life … and ended up building another that lets me raise babies and do work I love. No, it didn't go ‘according to plan.' It is turning out better."

She continued, "I fell in love with pediatrics, and quickly made the decision to switch programs from the family nurse practitioner program to the pediatric primary care program. I graduated in 2017 with my masters of science in nursing, and started my career working at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Influencer Kelly Hopton-Jones Ran Over Her Son With Her Car

Kelly Hopton-Jones shared in April 2026 that she ran over her son with her car while uploading an image holding the little one's arm in the hospital.

"I can't even let my brain fully go to how different this situation could be right now," she wrote via Instagram at the time. "It's so easy to start questioning everything. If the morning had looked different. If B had gone to work like he normally would have, both kids would have been safely in their car seats.

She continued, "Why weren't we holding him. Why didn't I double check before pulling out. We could drive ourselves crazy with the what ifs, and honestly, we are a little bit. But accidents happen. And I keep coming back to what I would tell my own kids one day if this happened to them. It would be a lot kinder than the things we're telling ourselves right now. Accidents happen, and the only mistakes are the ones we don't learn from. We're on the lucky side of a very tragic accident."

She confirmed that X-rays and CT scans showed no sign of injuries to Henry's "organs or spinal cord," with his legs, chest and neck all "normal" as well.

"Neurological exam has been reassuring with no signs of head injury or impairment," she noted. "He does have fractures to his pelvis that will take time to heal, as well as a few abrasions. What stays with me is the doctor saying: ‘He is hurt, but this is something he can recover from.' A true miracle."

She added, "We are in shock. We are so sad. But we are so incredibly grateful. … I do know this has changed us."
