Jon Pardi's Wife Filed for Divorce 2 Months Before Shocking Split Reveal

Country singer Jon Pardi's estranged wife, Summer Pardi, filed for divorce almost two months before the couple publicly announced their separation, Us Weekly can exclusively report.

Summer, 37, filed to dissolve the pair's five-year marriage in Tennessee on May 12, according to court documents obtained by Us. The influencer claimed that she and Jon, 41, separated one day earlier, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the cause for the dissolution of their marriage..

Jon and Summer announced via joint Instagram statement on Friday, July 3, that they "made the difficult decision to end [their] marriage." The now-exes, who share daughters Presley, 3, and Sienna, 23 months, shared their intentions to move "forward with love and respect as coparents."

In her divorce documents, Summer requested that the court allow her to be Presley and Sienna's "primary residential parent" if she and Jon cannot reach a parenting plan.

"[Summer] would show that she is a fit and proper person to be designated as the primary residential parent of the parties' minor children," her filing reads. "The best interests and welfare of the minor children will be served by designating [Summer] as the primary residential parent."

Summer also asked the court for an equitable division of the former couple's assets, in addition to "all of her separate property," and requested alimony from Jon.

"[Summer] would show that she is in need of spousal support, including but not limited to pendente lite and permanent," the docs read, alleging that Jon "has the ability to pay."

Summer further asked that Jon cover "her attorney's fees and expert witness fees … and all further general and/or specific relief."

Jon has not publicly addressed Summer's petition for divorce. Us has reached out to a rep for the singer for comment.

Amidst the breakup news, Jon has decided to take a step back from social media.

"While I navigate this next chapter, I'm going to take some time away from social media to focus on myself and my family," he wrote via his Instagram Stories on Friday. "Thanks to you all for the love and support. My team will handle posting for the time being. I'll see you at the shows."

Jon, who married Summer in 2020, had previously been candid about how his family life impacted his music career.

"It's a new emotion and new song ideas that we can sing about now. [I'm] a father now and you'll feel it more instead of just singing about it," he exclusively told Us in April 2025 of his shifts in musical inspiration. "You've been there and that's where this record comes in, especially with ‘She Drives Away.' Even the love songs like ‘Boots Off' is a lovemaking song, but it's fun. ‘Love the Lights Out' is sexy and making up for lost time, and that's all part of marriage. It's all a part of raising kids."
