These Are Nintendo's Biggest Games Coming in May

Nintendo fans have been a little impatient in recent months for new games on the Switch and Switch 2. Rest assured, some big games are coming in the coming months, even if they aren't part of the company's biggest series.

As we near the end of April and head towards May, these are the games you may want to buy on a Nintendo console in the next several weeks.

Constance - May 1

If you want something that will satisfy that craving for more Hollow Knight, Constance is the game for you. This 2D adventure game doesn't hide that it emulates its Metroidvania forefathers. Smooth combat and sharp platforming mechanics make for a pleasurable experience for veterans of the genre. This game already came out on Steam last year.

Decline's Drops - May 8

Indie game fans are being treated to a real gem with Decline's Drops. This game has been described as a Super Smash Bros. platformer. You play as a puppet who is willing to fight anyone in her path to avenge the damage to her property. This is the type of creativity that is often missing from AAA releases. It will also sell for only $14.99 on the eShop.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle - May 12

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle has been out on other platforms since 2024, but Nintendo fans will finally get to play it on Switch 2 this May. This is a huge development for third-party games being ported to Nintendo consoles. The Switch 2 has the capability to finally let Nintendo gamers experience stories and fun they would have to buy another console for otherwise.

Yoshi and the Mysterious Book - May 21

This is the defining game of the month by far. Yoshi is a fan favorite, and his games always cater to the widest audience possible. Yoshi and the Mysterious Book looks like it features plenty of beautiful visuals and calming music, which is on par for the series, but here's to hoping the veterans will be treated to a game with some similarities to the best SNES platformer ever, Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island.
