Woman Preps Breakfast on the Go for Her Dog, Internet Obsessed-‘So Chic'

Anyone who has ever dashed out the door mid‑breakfast might see a bit of themselves in Minnie, a schnauzer puppy whose morning routine has racked up over 471,000 views on TikTok.

In a video posted by her owner, Chicago resident Natalie Renna, 39, Minnie is carried out of the house while nibbling kibble from a pink martini glass-a detail that has helped the clip rack up more than 88,000 likes (@minnieandme11).

"Minnie isn't too much of a morning pup," Renna told Newsweek. "So, getting out of the door in the morning takes a bit more time than usual. Therefore I may be rushing around and have to take her breakfast to‑go."

Renna, a realtor, explained that Minnie is currently eating her puppy kibble from what she jokingly calls her "fancy cup," as noted in the video caption.

She added: “Soon, she will be switched to a more elevated breakfast to match her vibe."

While Minnie's martini‑glass meal is clearly meant in good fun, the video has sparked light‑hearted discussion about how-and where-dogs should eat. According to guidance from the American Kennel Club (AKC), choosing the right bowl matters more than many owners realize.

Selecting the Right-Sized Dog Bowl

The AKC notes that a dog's bowl should be large enough to hold their full meal and an adequate amount of water, and it should also suit the shape of the dog's face.

Narrow‑muzzled dogs can comfortably use smaller bowls, while dogs with broader faces need wider openings so they can eat without discomfort.

Owners of long‑eared breeds, such as spaniels or hounds, may benefit from narrow‑mouthed bowls that help keep ears out of food and water, reducing the risk of ear infections.

A dog's daily routine also plays a role. Because dogs should always have access to water, the AKC recommends choosing a bowl large enough to last through the day if an owner cannot refill it frequently.

Material matters as well. Stainless steel bowls are durable, dishwasher‑safe, and resistant to damage, though their light weight means energetic dogs may knock them over.

Ceramic bowls are heavier and harder to tip but must be food‑grade and can chip if dropped.

Plastic bowls are inexpensive and often dishwasher‑safe, but they scratch easily and may contain chemicals if not made from food‑safe materials.

TikTok Reacts

Still, TikTok viewers were far more focused on Minnie's glamorous breakfast presentation than on traditional dog‑feeding guidelines.

One commenter called her a "diva on the go," while another praised the setup: "The fancy cup is fabulous."

A third chimed in with "so chic."

Others were curious about Minnie's pristine appearance.

"How do you keep her face so clean?" one user asked. Renna responded, "I really don't do anything crazy! Filtered water for sure but other than that her weekly baths and brushing daily."

Whether Minnie eventually trades her martini glass for a more conventional bowl remains to be seen, but for now, her stylish morning routine has made her one of TikTok's most fashionable pups.
