Fulton Theatre's 2026-27 seasons announced, with 'Come From Away,' 'Annie' on tap

The Fulton Theatre recently announced its 2026-27 seasons for its mainstage shows, its family series and its black box shows.

Its mainstage season includes hit titles such as "My Fair Lady" and "Ragtime," as well as some newer shows, such as "Peter Pan Goes Wrong" and "Come From Away."

"We're excited for the mix of favorite and new stories," says Kevin Faraci, associate director of marketing at the Fulton Theatre, in an email to LNP - LancasterOnline. "There are plenty of opportunities for laughs, drama and escape during the 26-27 season."

While the Fulton Theatre is opening its newly renovated Castagna Hall for its production of "Dear Evan Hansen," Faraci says that there won't be any shows in Castagna Hall for the 2026-27 season.

Single tickets will go on sale sometime this summer, Faraci says. Existing subscribers and those looking to purchase subscriptions are now able to look at seats and purchasing options.

Here's the Fulton Theatre's upcoming schedule.

------

Mainstage season

- Sept. 25-Oct. 18: "Ragtime," based on the 1975 novel of the same name by E. L. Doctorow. This musical, with its book by Terrence McNally, shows stories of African-Americans, Eastern European immigrants and upper-class suburbanites as they live around New York City. The Fulton last put on "Ragtime" in 2004.

- Nov. 20-Dec. 31: "Annie," a musical based on the 1924 comic strip, "Little Orphan Annie." The musical, which features songs such as "It's the Hard Knock Life" and "Tomorrow," came out in 1977, and preceded the movie of the same name that was released in 1982. The Fulton last put on "Annie" in 2009.

- Jan. 22-Feb. 14: "Peter Pan Goes Wrong" was written by Mischief Theatre, which also created "The Play That Goes Wrong" (which the Fulton put on in 2023). It's a comedic production in which a director wishes to direct the 1904 play, "Peter and Wendy," but it all goes wrong when the actors don't take it seriously.

- March 12-April 4: "Come From Away" is a Tony-winning musical about what happened when around 7,000 airline passengers landed in Gander, Newfoundland, in Canada after the Sept. 11 attacks in New York. It opened on Broadway in 2017 and won a Tony Award for Best Direction of a Musical.

- April 23-May 16: "My Fair Lady," based on a 1913 play called "Pygmalion," premiered on Broadway in 1956 with actor Julie Andrews as the lead. The Tony Award-winning story follows Eliza Doolittle, a flower seller, who tries to learn speech and manners from Henry Higgins, a phonetics professor. The Fulton last put on "My Fair Lady" in 2003, though the theater did collaborate with Lancaster Symphony Orchestra's former music director, Stephen Gunzenhauser, to put on two shows of "My Fair Lady" at the American Music Theatre in 2010.

- June 11-July 11: Maury Yeston and Arthur Kopit's "Phantom" - not to be confused with the 1986 "The Phantom of the Opera" musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber - premiered in 1991. Both musicals were based on the 1910 novel, "The Phantom of the Opera," though they have different focuses. "Phantom" has more of a focus on the character of Erik, the Phantom, and uses more of an operetta approach. The Fulton last put on "Phantom" in 2010.
