Could the Lehigh Valley be closer to getting a Royal Farms? Bethlehem set to review plans
Bethlehem officials this week will consider a new Royal Farms convenience store for the city.
A sketch plan for the nearly 5,200-square-foot store at 2355 Ave. A will go before the Bethlehem Planning Commission at 5 p.m. on Thursday, the meeting agenda said.
The plan includes 12 fuel pumps under a 4,581-square-foot canopy, 43 off-street parking spaces, a dumpster enclosure and underground stormwater management facilities.
Royal Farms owner Two Farms Inc. purchased the property in 2019 for $4.5 million.
The chain originally intended to open its first Lehigh Valley location at the former Brass Rail restaurant at 3015 Lehigh St. in Allentown, but a Wawa opened there instead earlier this year after the potential sale with Royal Farms fell through.
