Do you have Centre County’s greatest love story?

Let’s start with a good opening line or two.

Did it hurt — you know, when you fell from heaven? Better yet, are you Google? Because you’re everything I’ve been searching for. And just for good measure — are you a camera? Because every time I look at you I smile.

I’ll pause here for a brief round of applause for the Internet.

It requires very little effort to be cynical about Valentine’s Day — less so, apparently, if you’re willing to limit your socializing to happy hour at a Ruby Tuesday.

Romance is hard.

We would like to know the way to your heart. It’s a bit forward, sure, but we’re willing to risk it to find out the real-life love stories that inspire you to spring for the big box of chocolates, save for the restaurant that distinguishes between salad and dessert forks or maybe even try your hand at poetry before settling for a nice card that doesn’t have Snoopy on the cover.

This isn’t limited to just to the grand gestures. We want the small stuff too. Maybe it’s your story or maybe it’s just on loan from the couple down the street — either way send it in to fready@centredaily.com no later than 5 p.m. Feb. 9.
