Q: How long have you been in business?
A: I have (been) the owner of The Port Matilda Hotel & Tavern since October 1993. The business itself dates back to the 1800s.
Q: What are your top menu items?
A: Top menu items are our award-winning hot wings, fresh handmade burgers and made to order cheesesteaks, grinders and salads.
Q: What’s the atmosphere like?
A: We try to convey a “small town, come as you are” atmosphere.
Q: What’s the best thing about your location?
A: Our location makes us very convenient for all, being only a half-mile from Interstate 99/ Exit 61.
Q: What’s special about the food in Centre County?
A: It’s special due to some small-town Americana, mixed with a multicultural university, PSU. So, someone is always trying to find a niche for their food specialty.
