Golf Courses
This information is for the nine courses in the region. Belles Springs, Clinton Country Club, Mountain View, Skytop Mountain, Penn State and Toftrees are public courses. Most now offer online tee times.
1. Belles Springs

Location: 417 Fairground Road, Mill Hall, PA 17751 — one mile north of Exit 178 (Lock Haven) of Interstate 80 near Mackeyville
Course: The 6,900-yard, par-72 layout has a course rating of 71.5 and a course slope of 121 from the white tees.
Rates: Season passes: $860 for adults; $200 for college students and $150 for juniors. Range club pass: $125. Green fees: $28 for 18 holes and $19 for nine holes on weekdays; $34 for 18 holes and $21.50 for nine holes on weekends; $20 for 18 holes and $12 for nine holes for age 14 and younger, with an adult.
2. Centre Hills Country Club

Course: The 6,461-yard, par-71 layout has a course rating of 71.9 and a course slope of 136. Centre Hills also maintains a nine-hole course and driving range off Scenery Drive.
Rates: For membership information, including yearly food assessment and an initiation fee, call the club office at 238-0111.
3. Clinton Country Club

Course: The 6,781-yard, par-73 layout has a course rating of 70.3 and a course slope of 126.
Rates: The course is open to the public. Weekday green fees are $25 for 18 holes and $15 for nine holes on weekdays; $30 for 18 holes and $20 for 9 holes on weekends. Twilight rates (after 2 p.m.) are $30 weekdays, $35 weekends. An all-day pass is $30. Those interested in membership rates are asked to call the club.
4. Mountain View Country Club

Course: The course is an 18-hole, 6,427-yard, par-71 layout has a course rating of 70.9 and a course slope of 128.
Rates: The cost for a full individual membership is $1,550 ; limited membership (Monday-Friday) is $1,360; junior membership (under 18) is $425; young professional rate (under age 35) is $1,100.
Greens fees: Monday-Thursday before 2 p.m. $33; Friday-Sunday before 2 p.m. $45; Twilight (after 2 p.m. every day), $25. Rates do not include carts.
5. Nittany Country Club

Course: The 9-hole course is 3,007 yards, par 35, has a course rating of 33.7 and a course slope of 128.
Rates: The club is semiprivate. First-year family membership costs $950. Young adult families (under age 35) may join for $900, or individuals for $700. Nonresident ($300) and junior memberships ($250) are available. The course is open to the public until Memorial Day and after Labor Day. Cost is $30 for 18 holes and $20 for nine holes.
6. Penn State Golf Courses

Courses: The Penn State courses consist of the White Course (6,344-yard, par-72 layout with a course rating of 70.5 and a slope of 130) and the Blue Course (7,214-yard, par-72 layout with a 75.2 course rating and a slope of 138).
Rates: General membership includes unlimited play on both courses and nine-day advance tee time reservations. Community: $1,350 individual, $820 for each additional family member; Penn State faculty and staff: $1,240 individual, $720 additional family members; Penn State students: $725; 17 and younger, $450.
A special Eric A. Walker membership is available at $1,700 per person and $1,165 for each additional family member; faculty/staff individual membership is $1,600 and $1,115 for each additional family member. The membership includes unlimited play on both courses, 11-day advance tee time reservations, unlimited range balls, a 20 percent golf shop discount, excluding clubs and balls, and reduced faculty-staff rate for guests.
Semester memberships to the White Course are available for Penn State students: late summer (June 15-Aug. 31), $165; fall (Aug. 15-Dec. 31), $215.
Half-season memberships begin and end July 15: Walker: $1,060 individual, $740 additional family members; community: $820 individual, $510 additional family members; Penn State students (Jan. 1-May 15 and Aug. 15-Dec. 31): $335; Faculty-staff: $725 individual, $440 additional family members.
Public greens fees for the Blue Course: Monday-Thursday, $33 for 18 and $24 for nine; Friday-Sunday, $47 and $24. White Course: Monday-Thursday, $28 for 18 and $21 for nine; Friday-Sunday, $37 and $21. Additional rates are available for students, faculty and staff, and twilight rates also are available. Tee times and specials are posted on the course website.
7. Philipsburg Elks Lodge and Country Club

Course: The club is a nine-hole 5,595-yard, par-70 layout. The course rating is 68.2 while the course slope is 129.
Rates: A single membership is $820; family membership (two golfers) is $1,140; a young professional (under 30) is $590; Junior and student memberships are also available. Elks Club membership is required.
Greens fees: Rates vary. Call the pro shop for details and specials.
8. Skytop Mountain Golf Club

Course: The par-72, 18-hole layout is 6,900 yards and the course has a rating of 71.0 from the back tees with a slope rating of 126.
Rates: Annual club membership for unlimited golf is $999, which includes a number of member benefits. Couples membership is $1,798; Seniors membership is $799; Senior couples is $1,398; Gold packs (180 holes any time) $390; Silver packs (90 holes any time) $215. Open for public play. Daily rates are $40 for 18 holes Monday-Thursday and $45 weekends (both rates include cart); A mid-day special on weekdays is $29. Youth golfers (8-15) are $5 accompanied by an adult.
9. Toftrees Golf Resort

Course: The 7,107-yard, par-72 layout has a course rating of 74.8 and a course slope of 140.
Rates: The membership fee is $2,250 for an individual, $750 for additional family; $1,800 for seniors 65 and over and $650 for spouse (must also be 65+); $1,300 for non-resident with $350 for addition family member; Young professional (35 or under) $1,700 and $650 for additional family member. Limited memberships available for Monday-Friday play.
Green fees: Mon-Thu — $40 (early spring, late fall), $58 (May 4-Oct 11), $50 (Oct. 12-Nov. 1), $35 (Twilight). Fri-Sun — $45 (early spring, late fall), $75 (May 4-Oct 11), $60 (Oct. 12-Nov. 1), $45 (Twilight).
