UNIVERSITY PARK AIRPORT

If you need a flight out of town, odds are good that you will fly out of University Park Airport. About five miles outside State College, the airport has service from three commercial airlines, each of which provides commuter services to several hubs.







The airport can accommodate aircraft with as many as 200 seats. A full-service facility for private and business aircraft is available, featuring a general aviation terminal. Charter aircraft and flight instruction/rentals operations also are available.

BELLEFONTE AIRPORT

Off state Route 550 outside Bellefonte, Pleasant Valley Aviation Inc. operates a public airport with a 3,632-foot runway. Pleasant Valley provides flight training, fuel, airplane maintenance and hangar rental. bellefonteairport.com or 355-7407

MID-STATE REGIONAL AIRPORT

Outside Philipsburg in Rush Township, Mid-State Regional Airport has five runways, with two longer than 5,000 feet. It is a general-aviation airport. Hangar space is available for rent. PENN’S CAVE AIRPORT

P.C. Aviation Services Inc. is at the Penn’s Cave Airport on state Route 192 east of Centre Hall and has a 2,500-foot runway. There are no services or fuel available. www.airport-data.com/airport/N74/ or 364-1479.

RIDGE SOARING GLIDERPORT

A world-famous facility on South Eagle Valley Road outside Julian, the Ridge Soaring Gliderport offers glider rides and flight training. 355-2483.
