Golden Corral is at the top of CDT readers’ dining wish list. The all-you-can-eat buffet was voted the chain restaurant you most want to see in Centre County in our poll.

The restaurant received 964 votes (25%) of the 3,825 that were cast in total to win. Cheesecake Factory was in second, almost 400 votes behind with 15% of the total.

The closest Golden Corral locations to Centre County are more than two hours away, in Lancaster and Hagerstown, Maryland.

Golden Corral did not respond to a request for comment about their interest in coming to the area.

The poll, which was open June 23-29, was just for fun and not scientific. Readers could choose from 20 restaurants, and we received an additional 20 write-in suggestions.
