4th Fest parade route closed to traffic during parade

State College police are reminding residents that roads will be closed on July 4 to accommodate the annual 4th Fest parade scheduled for 2 p.m. that day.

The parade will form on the streets surrounding the State College borough municipal building, police said, and is slated to travel the following route:

▪ North on South Allen Street to East College Avenue,

▪ East on East College to Shortlidge Road,

▪ North on Shortlidge to Pollock Road,

▪ East on Pollock to Bigler Road,

▪ North on Bigler to Curtin Road,

▪ East on Curtin and ending near the Bryce Jordan Center.

The route will be closed to vehicle traffic from about 2 to 3:30 p.m., police said. Parking along the route will be restricted, and westbound traffic on East College will be detoured onto University Drive.
