New stop sign installed in Rush Township

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation recently announced a change in signage at an intersection in Rush Township.

A stop sign was placed on Spike Island Road where it intersects with Ernestville Road.

In addition to the new stop sign, a stop ahead sign will be added along Spike Island Road. Red, flashing beacons will also be in place for about four weeks to alert motorists. The posted speed limit on Spike Island Road is 30 mph.
