Twin lambs born to ‘loneliest sheep' given names from ‘Shrek'

Twin lambs born to Britain's "loneliest sheep" have been given names from Shrek, like their mom.

Ewe Fiona was rescued from the base of a 200m cliff after spending two years stuck there.

She was saved and brought to Dalscone Farm in Scotland, where she served as a mental health mascot.

Now Fiona has taken to motherhood - giving birth to one male and one female lamb last month.

Staff knew Fiona was named after the princess from the Shrek franchise and wanted to stick to the theme.

They named the twins Fergus and Felicia, after Shrek and Fiona's children, first seen in Shrek the Third.

Ben Best, Manager of Dalscone Farm, said: "We are absolutely over the moon.

"To see Fiona go from the base of a lonely cliff to being such a protective, attentive mother is just incredible.

"She took to them immediately, and watching her look after these lambs has been a really emotional moment for everyone here.

"She's traded the title of 'Loneliest Sheep' for 'World's Best Mum,' and we couldn't be prouder of her."
