A 40-year-old man injured after his motorcycle, car collide in Ardmore

May 9-LOWER MERION - A 40-year-old man was injured Friday morning when the motorcycle he was riding on struck a Nissan Versa in Ardmore.

According to police, on May 8 at 6:53 a.m., the motorcycle rider was traveling eastbound on Montgomery Avenue when it struck a 2024 Nissan Versa whose driver was turning left onto Glenn Road from the westbound lane of Montgomery Avenue.

The motorcycle rider suffered serious injuries and was transported by Narberth ambulance to Lankenau Medical Center, where he remains in serious but stable condition.

The 32-year-old woman driving the Nissan was treated at the scene for minor injuries and released.

Montgomery Avenue was closed between Anderson Avenue and Llanfair Road for nearly four hours during the investigation. The roadway reopened at 10:50 a.m.

This crash remains under investigation by the Lower Merion Township Police Department Traffic Safety Unit.
