Man shot and killed in East Hills
A 33-year-old man was shot and killed Monday night in Pittsburgh's East Hills neighborhood, officials said.
Police were sent to the 2300 block of East Hills Drive about 11 p.m. after three ShotSpotter alerts that totaled 32 rounds, according to Pittsburgh Public Safety.
As officers were en route, they were told a man was shot and was being taken to a hospital in a private vehicle, authorities said.
Officers found the victim, who had been shot in the torso, inside the vehicle at Penn and Homewood avenues.
Medics took the man to the hospital, where he died shortly after, public safety officials said. He was identified Tuesday morning as 33-year-old Isaiah Booker of West Homestead.
No suspects or arrests had been announced as of Tuesday morning, and the investigation is ongoing.
