Beech Creek teen’s death ruled accidental

Clinton County Coroner Zach Hanna confirmed that a Beech Creek teen’s winter death has officially been declared accidental.

Alex Witherite, 17, died of hypothermia, Hanna said. The boy was reported missing in December, and his body was found in Beech Creek in January.

The initial autopsy was conducted in January, but toxicology and other results can take longer to receive.
