Positions in the Happy Valley LaunchBox should be hotly contested.
About 40 teams applied in December for the no-cost business startup training and space downtown for the LaunchBox’s inaugural class. There were six startups accepted, and between five to 10 will be selected for the summer cohort.
The business pre-accelerator program includes 10 weeks of training, legal and marketing consulting and a 24-hour co-working space. The program’s resources include Penn State Law and IP Clinics, Small Business Development Center, the Farrell Center for Corporate Innovation and Entrepreneurship and University Libraries.
The application deadline is Friday. Interested startups can apply online at launchbox.psu.edu.
