A Warriors Mark man was arrested and charged with simple assault and harassment after state police at Philipsburg say he struck a woman in the face Saturday at a residence on Loveville Road in Halfmoon Township.
According to court documents, Grayden Matthew Smith, 29, was attempting to leave the residence but the woman did not let Smith leave because she wanted to resolve an argument. She told police that she sat in Smith’s truck in another attempt to get him to stay. Smith allegedly removed her from the truck, without injury, when she proceeded to stand on the step bars.
That is when the woman says Smith called her names, according to the affidavit, resulting in the woman slapping the man in the face.
Smith attempted to leave again but the woman told police that she continued to stand on the step bars. Then Smith allegedly struck her in the face.
