Woman pronounced dead at scene of Taylor Township crash
State police at Philipsburg are investigating a one-vehicle crash that left a Port Matilda woman dead Sunday in Taylor Township.
Police say Nellie Weaver, 41, was traveling south on state Route 3025 when her vehicle left the road, traveled onto the left berm and into a ditch.
According to police, the vehicle continued to travel, then struck a concrete driveway with its right front tire and undercarriage. After initial impact, the vehicle began to spin and roll over onto its roof.
Weaver was reportedly ejected through the driver’s side window.
Police found Weaver lying on the road. She was pronounced dead on the scene by the Centre County coroner’s office.
