Man approached young children in State College

A man in a white sedan approached two elementary-aged children at 3:15 p.m. Saturday, according to State College police.

The white man was driving an older white sedan with a pink, fuzzy steering wheel cover. He approached the children who were walking on Oak Point Circle.

“The driver pulled up next to the minors and offered them cookies from a box,” the release said. “The male did nothing additional to entice them into the vehicle. The minors immediately ran back to their home.”

The children described the man as in his 20s with dark hair, tan skin, tattoos on his forearm and earrings.

Police have asked for help, calling the man suspicious.
