Some unauthorized credit card purchases are prompting a police search.

According to a press release Thursday, State College police said it started at about 5:30 p.m. on May 17.

That’s when a thin, 6-foot-tall white male in his 20’s visited several downtown State College businesses. Police said he was using a credit card that has been reported stolen.

Police described the man as having a shaved head and said he was wearing a black Nike hooded sweatshirt.
