Stylist opens new business in downtown Bellefonte space
As salons reopen to clients and adjust amid the pandemic, a Bellefonte salon is gearing up to open its doors for the first time.
While many stylists’ and hairdressers’ chairs sat empty during the statewide shutdown, Laura Arnold was prepping to open New Wave Salon, located at 118 N. Allegheny St. in Bellefonte. A soft opening for the two-chair salon is planned for Wednesday.
“We are in the final stages of getting everything perfect for you, and I can’t wait to see you in my new space,” the stylist wrote on Facebook.
With over a decade of experience, Arnold studied at Barone Beauty Academy, and she worked as a master stylist at Evolve Studio since 2012. She specializes in colors, blondes, balayage and color correction.
Arnold said the business will offer competitive pricing, and with two chairs, appointments will be private and safe as stylists abide by state health guidelines, she wrote.
“To all of you, I just want to say thank you,” Arnold wrote. “Opening my own salon has been something I have always dreamed about and without you, none of this would have been possible. I have poured my whole self into this salon, and I truly want it to be your safe place away from this crazy world.”
Those interested in scheduling an appointment are asked to message or call the salon at 548-7490.
