A bridal shop that helped thousands of women find their perfect wedding or prom dress during the past 15 years is set to close at the end of the year.

Diamonds and Lace Bridal owner Diana Zeisky wrote in a Facebook post Tuesday that she “loved every minute” of owning the business.

“I would like to wholeheartedly thank everyone that made Diamonds & Lace what it is today,” Zeisky wrote. “... We loved the memories, moments, and the beautiful looks we were able to help create. The nearly 15 years we’ve been here have been amazing.”

Zeisky was an event planner and stay-at-home mom before she bought the business. She operated the shop in Lemont for six years before shifting in 2014 to 1524 N. Atherton St.

It was not immediately clear why the Zeisky plans to close the business, though she wrote she is “under contract with a different business concept.”

“I have always said this business is an emotion based one,” Zeisky wrote. “My girls, my husband (and) my kids have all heard me say 1,000 times over that we are therapists, stylists, psychologists, a honest friend, mediator, all wrapped into being wedding consultants. I know very well that hearing about a bridal store closing can cause uncertainty, stress and anxiety.”

Zeisky attempted to contact each of her clients before publicly announcing her plans to close.

All items purchased were ordered and will be delivered. Information about alterations and items scheduled to arrive in 2022 is forthcoming, she wrote.

Items already in the store should be picked up “in the upcoming weeks.” Appointments are expected to be scheduled for those whose dresses have not arrived or need to be altered.

A liquidation sale is also planned. Custom orders will be accepted until Dec. 15.

“We hope you will send us all the positive vibes as we explore new beginnings,” Zeisky wrote.
