The votes are in. Here’s the best coffee shop in Centre County, according to you

Few things can kick-start a morning more than coffee. It can be the difference between an OK day that’s a slog to get through and one that can leave you chipper and ready to take on the world.

So we asked you all to pick your favorite spot for coffee in Centre County. The winner? Bees Knees Coffee.

More than 11,000 votes were cast between Friday and Tuesday. Bees Knees won 4,058 votes, about 37%.

Owner Bromlyn Fitzgerald sells her coffee from 114 E. College Ave. in Pleasant Gap and a trailer that traverses Centre County. She opened the business in May 2020.

“That’s really exciting. I’m really proud of us,” Fitzgerald said of her company’s victory. “I know I had a lot of people messaging me or talking to me in person and telling me they were voting. It feels good.”

Rothrock Coffee was the runner-up, collecting about 26% of the votes. Webster’s Bookstore Coffee finished third with about 12%.
