You voted for the best new Centre County business of 2022. Here are the results
We asked CentreDaily.com readers to choose their favorite new local business and we’re ready to announce the winner.
Almost 900 votes were cast, with the highest number going to Verilife. The medical marijuana dispensary received 40% of the votes in our just-for-fun, nonscientific poll that was open Dec. 20-27.
The poll offered 20 choices for best new business, and the top three finishers combined to receive more than 75% of votes.
Verilife, which is owned by cannabis company PharmaCann, opened in April at the former Home D Pizzeria at 1820 S. Atherton St. in State College.
“State College is well known as the home of Penn State University and is a thriving community of more than 42,000 people,” Verilife President David Chiovetti said ahead of the opening, the CDT reported. “We are thrilled that our new Verilife State College location will help us serve even more patients in this fast-growing region.”
The top new businesses, according to the votes cast in the poll, were:
- Verilife (350 votes)
- Rooted Farmstead (212)
- Antifragile Brewing Co. (128)
