Centre County grocery stores closed Christmas Day. See shortened Christmas Eve hours
Most stores and services in Centre County will have their hours affected by the holiday Christmas Thursday.
Banks and U.S. Postal Service offices will be open Wednesday for Christmas Eve, but closed Christmas Day. Residential trash pickup and curbside recycling in the Centre Region will be delayed one day through Saturday, starting with what would have been Thursday’s pickup.
In Bellfonte, Wednesday’s refuse pickup will take place Tuesday, and Thursday’s will take place Friday.
Most grocery stores will be open Christmas Eve with shortened hours, but closed Christmas.

- Trader Joe’s, State College: open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Christmas Eve, closed Christmas Day
- Sam’s Club, State College: open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Christmas Eve, closed Christmas Day
- Nature’s Pantry, State College: open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Christmas Eve, closed Christmas Day
