2 Pennsylvania shopping centers are among best in nation, USA Today reports
Two shopping centers in Pennsylvania recently cracked USA Today’s 10Best list — and one grabbed the No. 1 spot.
The USA Today’s Readers’ Choice Awards 2026 “Best Shopping Center” list named Peddler’s Village in Lahaska No. 1 in the country.
“We’re incredibly honored to be named the number one shopping center in the country by USA TODAY,” Donna Jamison, CEO of Peddler’s Village, said in a June 10 press release. “More than 60 years ago, my father, Earl Jamison, founded Peddler’s Village with the vision of creating a destination that was both unique and welcoming. In 2026, I’m proud that we continue to carry out that vision year after year by providing an exceptional experience for our guests and receiving national recognition for those efforts.”
Peddler’s Village is a 42-acre “destination” offering shopping, dining, entertainment and lodging. The Bucks County shopping center sees more than 2 million visitors each year, according to the press release, and features 60-plus shops, eight restaurants and 67 rooms in the Golden Plough Inn.
The village is also known for its architecture, boasting 18th-century style buildings, along with “lush” gardens.
You can also check out special events at the village, including an upcoming “Red, White, and Blueberries BBQ Bash” on the Fourth of July. Peddler’s Village also features events with live music, art, bingo and more.
Another PA shopping center lands in top 10
Kitchen Kettle Village in Intercourse, Pa., landed in the No. 4 spot for best shopping center.
“Kitchen Kettle Village is happy to have secured the #4 spot in USA Today’s 10BEST Shopping Centers competition,” spokesperson Lisa Horn told the Centre Daily Times via email. “Our Village of 35+ shops, restaurants, and lodging offers the best of Lancaster County for guests and locals to enjoy. From live music to delicious samples, handmade jams, relishes, and sauces, to unique gifts, 20 comfortable lodging accommodations, and exciting events, the Village has something for everyone to experience.”
The village is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and is closed Sundays. Parking is free.
