Local business leaders on the move
Michael A. Fiore, executive vice president of Altoona-based contracting group Leonard S. Fiore, was named in Pennsylvania Business Central’s Top 100 People for 2015.
Fiore has been a part of L.S. Fiore full time since 1982. He is also the chairman of the board for Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic High School, a board member for Operation Our Town, Altoona Blair County Development Corp. and Western Pennsylvania Directors Advisory Council of Manufacturers & Traders Trust Co.

Nittany Settlement Co. hired Emily McGinley as a staff assistant.
McGinley will be responsible for assisting in pre- and post-closing processing and documentation. She worked as a paralegal in the office of the Centre County District Attorney and with a local law office.

Jennifer Owen, an interior designer for Hoffman Leakey Architects, obtained her National Council for Interior Design Qualification certification.
NCIDQ-certified designers have completed at least of six years of specialized education and experience and passed a three-part exam based on CIDQ’s analysis of the profession and the daily practice of interior designers.

Mount Nittany Health hired Janet Pennington as a speech-language pathologist at Mount Nittany Medical Center rehabilitation services.
Pennington practiced as a licensed speech-language pathologist in Altoona for about 40 years and will provide outpatient services at the medical center. She also has experience in voice and swallowing disorders, childhood speech and language delays, fluency and cognitive retraining.

Kish Bank appointed Monica Phillips as assistant branch manager for its South Atherton Street location.
She will oversee the staff and manage the daily operations of the branch. Phillips was a head teller at Fulton Bank where she was responsible for branch operations and supervising the teller line.
